NYBC wrapped up its eight-month partnership with the 2014 Super Bowl Host Committee, sending blood donors to the big game. “I’ve given blood four times, because I know every donation helps hospital patients with cancer, leukemia, and those in emergency rooms after traffic accidents,” said winner Martha Fitzgerald of Brooklyn. “Who knew that I’d end up going to the Super Bowl?“
Marisa DiSilvestre won two Super Bowl tickets and brought her dad! Marisa studies at Long Island University and held a BLOODSTOCK® Scholarship blood drive in her community. Here is a video of excited thanks from Marisa and her father as they got ready for game time at Super Bowl XLVIII:
Our thanks once again to the Super Bowl Host Committee for helping recruit blood donations to support hospitals in all of our communities.
