Betsy McQuail is the Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at the New York Blood Center having been appointed to that position in 2011. With over 28 years of experience in blood center operations, strategic planning, quality, production planning/inventory management and information technology, Betsy is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for planning, leading and executing corporate strategy and direction. She oversees a $165M budget and approximately 800 employees and has direct P & L responsibility for the Operations and Manufacturing business unit including all donor marketing, recruitment, collections, laboratories, distribution, logistics, computer applications that support Operations and Manufacturing, including eProgesa, Hemasphere, DRM (Donor Relationship Management) and BOSS (Blood Operations Support System) systems. Her responsibilities also include recovered plasma sales, contracts and relationships and oversight of process improvement and SOPs, incident reporting and product licensure.
Betsy is a graduate of George Mason University with a B.S. in Industrial Psychology.
