After your first donation, or upon request, donors will receive their official New York Blood Center Donor Card. You may use this card as an acceptable form of identification when you donate blood or platelets.

As depicted here, depending on how often someone donates, donor cards may be red (for those who have donated less than one gallon); white (for 1-4 gallon donors); gold (for 5-9 gallon donors); or black ( for 10 or more gallon donors).

Platelet donors also receive a distinctive Platelet Advantage Donor Card.

Donor cards also detail your blood type and CMV status.
