Hike for Life Hudson Valley
Hike for Life with us over the historic Walkway Over the Hudson at our first annual event to raise awareness of the need for blood donations and financial support for New York Blood Center. We will start and end at the East Approach of the Walkway in Poughkeepsie. It is 2.6 miles across the bridge and back. Before it became the Walkway State Park in 2009, it was known as the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge. You can also explore the beautiful Hudson Valley Rail Trail with varied terrain. We invite all hikers to join us at the conclusion of the hike for refreshments. Proceeds from Hike for Life support New York Blood Center’s life-saving mission in addition to promoting the need for blood donations.
New York Blood Center has been serving the community since 1964 and today supports nearly 200 hospitals.
