Antibody Testing Now Available
We will be testing donors who make a blood or platelet donation for antibodies to COVID-19 from November 2, 2020 to February 28, 2021 at donor centers and blood drives. As a whole blood donor, if your antibody test is positive, the plasma component from your blood donation may be processed into convalescent plasma, which is currently used to help hospitalized COVID-19 patients recover. Your red cells or platelets will also be used for patients in need. A letter with your antibody results will be mailed to you within two weeks after your donation. Remember, testing is only available at our donor centers (not community blood drives).
